Anomali Successfully Completes SOC 2 Examination for 2016
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – July 12, 2016 – Anomali, the provider of the market-leading ThreatStream threat intelligence and Anomali Match platforms, today announced that it successfully completed the “Type 1 Service Organization Control (SOC) 2” examination for 2016. Conducted by leading CPA firm Schellman & Company, LLC, the examination affirms that the Anomali information security practices, policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 standards for preventing unauthorized access, misuse or modification of Anomali resources and customer or partner data.
Enterprises and SMBs rely on third-party security expertise and technologies, such as the Anomali product suite, to quickly identify and remediate threats to their organization. As these businesses increasingly use outside vendors to perform activities that are core to their threat-management strategy, there is a need for trust and transparency into the provider’s operations, processes and procedures.
"Trust is a core principle in information security, and the completion of our SOC 2 examination for 2016 reinforces our commitment to the security of our customers," said Nicholas Albright, vice president of security at Anomali. "Validation of Anomali and its platform by Schellman & Company gives customers confidence that Anomali has established and continues to prioritize and maintain a strong and effective security program."
The SOC 2 report verifies the existence of internal controls designed and implemented to meet the requirements for the security principles set forth in the Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security. This independent validation of security controls is crucial for customers operating in highly regulated industries.
The examination reviewed all cloud components of the ThreatStream threat intelligence platform, Anomali Match and Anomali Reports.
